Spherical Constitution is a marble rolling game exploring themes of pain, compulsion and the mechanization of the human body. In order to succeed, the player must roll a ball across the bodies of anonymous human figures by contorting them into difficult poses. By Claire Carré, Dennis Carr & Longxiao Li.
Exhibited at the Hammer Museum as part of the UCLA Game Art Festival 2017
“A video game about the physical pain for having a body... It’s in its consideration of our physical bodies, the flesh and bone that we are forced to live in, that marks Spherical Constitution as special”
